George William Frederick Charles was a British royal born on December 26, 1865. He was the second son of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn and Princess Louise Margaret of Prussia. George served in the British Army and held the rank of major-general.
He became the Duke of Connaught and Strathearn in 1917 and was known for his dedication to public service. George was involved in various charitable organizations and served as the Governor General of Canada from 1911 to 1916. He passed away on January 16, 1942.
