Gary Gensler is the current Chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), having taken office in April 2021. Before his government roles, Gensler was a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), teaching courses on blockchain technology and digital currencies.
