General Manuel Belgrano
General Manuel Belgrano was an important Argentine military leader and politician during the early 19th century. He is best known for his role in the Argentine War of Independence against Spanish colonial rule. Belgrano was also a key figure in the creation of the Flag of Argentina, which he designed in 1812.
