General Foods
General Foods was an American food processing company known for producing a wide range of popular food products. Founded in 1920, it became famous for brands like Jell-O, Maxwell House Coffee, and Post Cereals. The company focused on convenience foods, catering to the growing demand for quick and easy meal solutions.
In 1985, General Foods was acquired by Philip Morris Companies, which later became known as Altria Group. This acquisition allowed the company to expand its product offerings and reach a larger market. Eventually, in 1995, General Foods merged with Kraft Foods, further solidifying its presence in the food industry.
