General Abdul Karim Qasim
General Abdul Karim Qasim was an Iraqi military officer and politician who played a significant role in Iraq's history. He led a successful coup in 1958 that overthrew the monarchy, establishing a republic. Qasim became the Prime Minister and focused on land reforms and modernization efforts in the country.
During his rule, Qasim faced various challenges, including political opposition and regional tensions. His government was marked by a mix of nationalism and socialism, which attracted both support and criticism. In 1963, he was overthrown and killed in a coup led by the Ba'ath Party, which marked a significant shift in Iraq's political landscape.
