Gen 13
Gen 13 is a chapter in the Book of Genesis in the Bible, which describes the separation of Abram and his nephew Lot. After their wealth and livestock increased, the land could no longer support both of them living together. To avoid conflict, Abram offered Lot the choice of land, allowing him to choose where he wanted to settle.
Lot chose the fertile plains of Jordan, near the city of Sodom, while Abram remained in the land of Canaan. After Lot departed, God reaffirmed His promise to Abram, assuring him that his descendants would inherit the land.
