Gathland State Park
Gathland State Park is located in Maryland, near the town of Burkittsville. The park covers 1,200 acres and features scenic hiking trails, picnic areas, and historical sites. It was once the estate of journalist and war correspondent George Alfred Townsend, who built a grand home and several structures on the property.
