Gastroenteritis
Gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the stomach and intestines, often caused by infections from viruses, bacteria, or parasites. Common symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and fever. It can spread easily through contaminated food or water, or by close contact with an infected person.
Most cases of gastroenteritis are mild and resolve on their own within a few days. Staying hydrated is crucial, as the body loses fluids through vomiting and diarrhea. In severe cases, especially in young children or the elderly, medical attention may be necessary to prevent dehydration and other complications.
