Gas Giant
A gas giant is a large planet that is primarily composed of gases, such as hydrogen and helium, rather than solid surfaces. These planets are known for their massive sizes and thick atmospheres, which can create stunning weather patterns and storms. Examples of gas giants in our solar system include Jupiter and Saturn.
Unlike terrestrial planets, gas giants do not have a well-defined solid surface. Instead, they may have a small core surrounded by layers of gas and liquid. Their immense gravitational pull allows them to retain large amounts of gas, making them significantly larger than rocky planets like Earth and Mars.
