Garden Snail
The garden snail, known scientifically as *Cornu aspersum*, is a common land snail found in gardens and fields. It has a coiled shell that can vary in color, typically brown or yellow with darker stripes. Garden snails are herbivores, primarily feeding on leaves, fruits, and vegetables, which makes them both beneficial and problematic for gardeners.
These snails are slow-moving creatures, using a muscular foot to glide along surfaces. They are most active during damp conditions, as moisture helps prevent dehydration. Garden snails can reproduce quickly, laying clusters of eggs in the soil, which can lead to large populations if not managed.
