Ganapati (Ganesha)
Ganapati, also known as Ganesha, is a widely revered deity in Hinduism, recognized as the remover of obstacles and the god of beginnings. He is typically depicted with an elephant's head and a human body, symbolizing wisdom and understanding. Ganesha is often worshipped at the start of new ventures, such as business endeavors or educational pursuits.
Celebrated during the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, devotees create clay idols of Ganesha and offer prayers, sweets, and flowers. This festival, particularly popular in the Indian state of Maharashtra, lasts for ten days, culminating in the immersion of the idols in water, symbolizing the cycle of creation and dissolution.
