Gamma Cygni
Gamma Cygni, also known as Sadr, is a bright star located in the constellation Cygnus. It is approximately 1,800 light-years away from Earth and is classified as a supergiant star. Sadr is notable for its position at the center of the Northern Cross asterism and is surrounded by a large emission nebula known as the North America Nebula.
Sadr has a spectral type of A2 Iae, indicating it is a hot, luminous star. It has a diameter roughly 10 times that of the Sun and shines with a brightness about 12,000 times greater than our star. Its light is a mix of colors, giving it a white hue, and it plays a significant role in the study of stellar evolution.
