Galleons
Galleons were large sailing ships used primarily from the 16th to the 18th centuries. They were designed for both cargo transport and naval warfare, featuring a high hull and multiple decks. Galleons often carried valuable goods, including spices and precious metals, during the age of exploration and trade.
These ships typically had three or more masts and were equipped with sails that allowed for better maneuverability. Galleons played a significant role in maritime history, especially in the Spanish Empire, where they were used in the famous Spanish treasure fleets to transport wealth from the Americas to Europe.
