Galileo Satellites
The Galileo Satellites are a global navigation satellite system developed by the European Union and the European Space Agency. Designed to provide accurate positioning services, they enhance navigation for various applications, including transportation, agriculture, and emergency services. The system aims to offer better precision than existing systems like GPS.
Launched between 2011 and 2020, the Galileo constellation consists of 30 satellites in total, with 24 operational satellites and additional ones for backup. These satellites work together to provide real-time location data, improving safety and efficiency in various sectors worldwide.
