Galeotto
Galeotto is a character from Dante Alighieri's epic poem, the Divine Comedy. He appears in the second part, known as the Inferno, where he is associated with the theme of illicit love. Galeotto is often identified with the figure who facilitated the affair between Lancelot and Guinevere, which ultimately led to their tragic consequences.
In the Inferno, Dante uses Galeotto's story to illustrate the dangers of passion and betrayal. His name has since become synonymous with a person or thing that brings lovers together, often in a way that leads to moral or ethical dilemmas. Galeotto serves as a cautionary symbol in literature and culture.
