Gaiwan
A Gaiwan is a traditional Chinese tea brewing vessel, typically made of porcelain, glass, or clay. It consists of three parts: a bowl for steeping the tea, a lid to cover the bowl, and a saucer to hold the bowl. The design allows for easy pouring and control over the brewing process, making it ideal for enjoying high-quality loose-leaf teas.
Gaiwans are often used in gongfu tea ceremonies, where the focus is on the art of tea preparation. This method emphasizes the flavors and aromas of the tea, allowing drinkers to appreciate the subtleties of different tea varieties.
