Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows
Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows was an Italian Passionist priest born on March 1, 1831, in Assisi, Italy. He is known for his deep devotion to the Virgin Mary and his commitment to a life of prayer and service. Gabriel joined the Passionist order at a young age and dedicated himself to spreading the message of Christ's suffering and love.
He died at the age of 24 on February 27, 1862, from tuberculosis. Gabriel was canonized by Pope Benedict XV in 1908 and is recognized as the patron saint of students and young people. His feast day is celebrated on February 27.
