Gaboon Viper
The Gaboon Viper is a large venomous snake native to the rainforests and savannas of central and western Africa. It is known for its distinctive appearance, featuring a broad, triangular head and a striking pattern of brown, gray, and cream scales that provide excellent camouflage among the forest floor.
This snake can grow up to 6 feet long, making it one of the largest vipers in the world. The Gaboon Viper has long fangs, which can deliver a potent venom that is effective for subduing prey, primarily small mammals and birds. Despite its fearsome reputation, it is generally docile and prefers to avoid human contact.
