GLAAD Media Awards
The GLAAD Media Awards are annual awards presented by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation to recognize and honor media representations of the LGBTQ+ community. Established in 1990, the awards aim to promote fair and accurate portrayals of LGBTQ+ individuals in various forms of media, including television, film, and journalism.
The awards celebrate outstanding achievements in media that challenge discrimination and promote acceptance. Categories include Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Film, and Outstanding Individual Episode, among others. The GLAAD Media Awards also highlight the importance of storytelling in fostering understanding and support for LGBTQ+ rights and issues.
