GBU-43/B
The GBU-43/B, commonly known as the "Mother of All Bombs," is a large air-dropped bomb developed by the United States. It is designed to target and destroy fortified structures and large groups of enemy forces. The bomb weighs approximately 30,000 pounds and is equipped with a GPS-guided system for precision targeting.
The GBU-43/B was first used in combat in April 2017 against ISIS tunnels in Afghanistan. Its massive explosive power is achieved through a combination of conventional explosives and a unique design that maximizes blast radius and effectiveness. The bomb is deployed from C-130 Hercules aircraft, allowing for strategic air support in various military operations.
