Fuyu (Winter)
Fuyu, meaning "Winter" in Japanese, is one of the four seasons, characterized by cold temperatures and shorter days. It typically spans from December to February in the Northern Hemisphere. During this time, many regions experience snowfall, and landscapes are often transformed into serene, white scenes.
In Japan, Fuyu is also associated with various cultural traditions and seasonal foods. Popular winter dishes include nabe, a hot pot meal, and mikan, a type of citrus fruit enjoyed during the colder months. The season is a time for family gatherings and celebrations, such as Shōgatsu, the Japanese New Year.
