Furnariids
Furnariids are a diverse group of birds belonging to the family Furnariidae, commonly known as ovenbirds. They are primarily found in Central and South America, inhabiting various environments such as forests, grasslands, and scrublands. These birds are known for their unique nesting behavior, often constructing elaborate nests that resemble ovens, hence their name.
Furnariids are typically small to medium-sized birds with strong legs and long tails. They have a varied diet that includes insects, seeds, and fruits. Their vocalizations are often melodious, and they play an important role in their ecosystems as both foragers and seed dispersers.
