Fur Seal
The Fur Seal is a marine mammal belonging to the family Otariidae, which also includes sea lions. They are known for their thick fur, which provides insulation in cold waters. Fur seals are found primarily in the Southern Hemisphere, with the most well-known species being the Antarctic Fur Seal. They are agile swimmers, using their front flippers to propel themselves through the water.
Fur seals are social animals, often seen in large colonies on rocky shores or beaches. They primarily feed on fish and squid, using their keen eyesight to hunt. During the breeding season, males establish territories and compete for females, showcasing their strength and vocalizations.
