Fundamentals Of Engineering Exam
The Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE Exam) is a standardized test designed for recent graduates and students nearing the completion of an engineering degree. It assesses knowledge in various engineering disciplines, including civil, mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering. Passing the FE Exam is often the first step toward becoming a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
Administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), the FE Exam consists of multiple-choice questions covering topics such as mathematics, physics, and engineering ethics. Successful candidates receive an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, which is a prerequisite for obtaining a PE license after gaining relevant work experience.
