Frontex
Frontex, officially known as the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, is an agency of the European Union established in 2004. Its primary role is to support member states in managing their external borders, ensuring security, and facilitating safe migration. Frontex coordinates border control operations and provides training, technical assistance, and resources to national border authorities.
The agency also plays a crucial role in combating cross-border crime and human trafficking. By collecting and analyzing data on migration trends, Frontex helps EU countries develop effective border management strategies while promoting cooperation among member states to enhance overall security.
