French currency
The official currency of France is the euro, which has been in use since January 1, 2002. The euro is abbreviated as EUR and is used by 19 of the 27 European Union countries, forming the Eurozone. It replaced the previous currency, the French franc, which was in circulation for over 600 years.
The euro is divided into 100 cents and features various designs, including symbols of European architecture and culture. The European Central Bank manages the euro, ensuring its stability and value across the Eurozone. This currency facilitates trade and travel among member countries.
