Frederick Henry of Orange
Frederick Henry of Orange, also known as Prince of Orange, was a prominent military leader and statesman during the late 16th and early 17th centuries. Born in 1584, he was the son of William of Orange, a key figure in the Dutch struggle for independence from Spanish rule. Frederick Henry played a crucial role in the Eighty Years' War, leading several successful military campaigns that helped secure Dutch independence.
As the stadtholder of the Dutch Republic, Frederick Henry focused on strengthening the political and military power of the region. His leadership contributed to the establishment of the House of Orange-Nassau as a significant dynasty in Dutch history. He died in 1647, leaving a lasting legacy in the Netherlands.
