Frederick Francis II
Frederick Francis II was the last Grand Duke of Saxony, ruling from 1904 until the end of World War I in 1918. He was born on April 9, 1865, and was a member of the House of Wettin. His reign saw significant political changes in Germany, particularly with the rise of republicanism after the war.
After the abdication of the German monarchs, Frederick Francis II went into exile. He lived in various countries, including Germany and Switzerland, before eventually settling in Germany where he passed away on July 24, 1934. His legacy is tied to the end of the monarchy in Germany.
