Franziskus Maria von Sales
Franziskus Maria von Sales, also known as Saint Francis de Sales, was a prominent 17th-century bishop and theologian in the Catholic Church. Born on August 21, 1567, in Savoy, he is best known for his efforts in the Counter-Reformation, promoting Catholic teachings and spirituality. He became the Bishop of Geneva and was instrumental in converting many Protestants back to Catholicism.
Saint Francis de Sales is celebrated for his writings, particularly the book "Introduction to the Devout Life," which offers guidance on living a devout Christian life. He is the patron saint of writers and journalists, and his feast day is observed on January 24.
