Franz Rosenzweig
Franz Rosenzweig was a German Jewish philosopher born in 1886 and died in 1929. He is best known for his work in existentialism and his contributions to Jewish thought. Rosenzweig's most significant work, The Star of Redemption, explores the relationship between God, humanity, and the world, emphasizing the importance of personal experience in understanding faith.
Rosenzweig was also a key figure in the Jewish Enlightenment and played a role in the revival of Jewish philosophy in the early 20th century. His ideas influenced later thinkers, including Martin Buber and Emmanuel Levinas, and continue to be studied in contemporary philosophy and theology.
