Franciscan Third Order
The Franciscan Third Order, also known as the Secular Franciscan Order, is a branch of the Franciscan family founded by Saint Francis of Assisi in the early 13th century. It allows laypeople to live out the principles of the Franciscan way of life while remaining in their secular environments. Members commit to following the teachings of Christ and the spirit of Saint Francis through prayer, community service, and personal growth.
Members of the Third Order strive to embody the values of simplicity, humility, and love for all creation. They gather regularly for prayer, reflection, and support, fostering a sense of community among those who share a commitment to living out their faith in everyday life.
