Francis Collins
Francis Collins is an American physician-geneticist known for his leadership of the Human Genome Project, which successfully mapped the entire human genome. He served as the director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from 2009 to 2021, where he focused on advancing medical research and promoting public health.
Collins is also recognized for his work in identifying genes associated with various diseases, including cystic fibrosis and Huntington's disease. He has authored several books, including "The Language of God," where he discusses the relationship between science and faith.
