Fra Angelico
Fra Angelico was an Italian painter of the early Renaissance, known for his serene and spiritual works. Born around 1395 in Florence, he was a Dominican friar, which influenced his art's religious themes. His paintings often feature soft colors, delicate figures, and a sense of divine light.
His most famous works include the frescoes in the Convent of San Marco in Florence and the altarpiece for the Church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva in Rome. Fra Angelico's style combines Gothic elements with early Renaissance techniques, making him a pivotal figure in the transition of art during this period.
