Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden
Fountains Abbey is a well-preserved Cistercian monastery located in North Yorkshire, England. Founded in 1132, it became one of the largest and wealthiest abbeys in the country before its dissolution in 1539. The impressive ruins showcase Gothic architecture and are set within a picturesque landscape.
Adjacent to the abbey is the Studley Royal Water Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Designed in the 18th century, it features elegant water features, classical temples, and beautifully landscaped gardens. The garden reflects the artistic style of the period and offers visitors a serene environment to explore.
