Fort Peck Lake
Fort Peck Lake is a large reservoir located in northeastern Montana, created by the construction of the Fort Peck Dam on the Missouri River. Spanning over 134,000 acres, it is one of the largest man-made lakes in the United States, providing recreational opportunities such as fishing, boating, and camping.
The lake is surrounded by scenic landscapes, including rolling hills and wildlife habitats. It is home to various fish species, including walleye and northern pike, making it a popular destination for anglers. The Fort Peck Project also plays a crucial role in flood control and irrigation in the region.
