Formosat-1
Formosat-1 was a Taiwanese Earth observation satellite launched on May 24, 2004. It was designed to monitor and collect data on the environment, agriculture, and urban development in Taiwan and surrounding regions. The satellite operated in a sun-synchronous orbit, allowing it to capture images and data consistently throughout the year.
The satellite was equipped with a high-resolution optical sensor, which enabled it to provide detailed images of the Earth's surface. Formosat-1 played a crucial role in supporting various applications, including disaster management, land use planning, and environmental monitoring, until its mission ended in 2010.
