Forest of Marston Vale
The Forest of Marston Vale is a large area of woodland located in Bedfordshire, England. It covers approximately 61 square kilometers and was created to restore the landscape after extensive gravel extraction. The forest is home to a variety of wildlife and offers numerous walking and cycling paths for visitors.
The project began in the 1990s and aims to connect existing woodlands and create new habitats. It is part of the Forest of Marston Vale Trust, which works to promote environmental sustainability and community engagement. The forest also features several visitor centers and educational programs for all ages.
