Forearm Bones
The forearm consists of two long bones: the radius and the ulna. The radius is located on the thumb side of the forearm, while the ulna is on the side of the little finger. These bones work together to allow for a wide range of motion in the wrist and elbow.
The radius and ulna are connected at both ends by joints. The proximal joint near the elbow allows for rotation, while the distal joint near the wrist enables movement of the hand. Together, these bones support various activities, from lifting objects to performing intricate tasks.
