Folivora
Folivora is an order of mammals that primarily includes sloths and anteaters. These animals are known for their slow movements and specialized diets, mainly consisting of leaves and insects. Folivora is characterized by their unique adaptations, such as long claws for climbing and a low metabolic rate, which helps them conserve energy.
The two main families within Folivora are Bradypodidae, which includes three-toed sloths, and Megalonychidae, which includes two-toed sloths. These creatures are primarily found in the tropical forests of Central and South America, where they play a crucial role in their ecosystems by aiding in leaf consumption and providing habitats for other species.
