Fokker Aircraft Company
The Fokker Aircraft Company was a Dutch aircraft manufacturer founded by Anton Fokker in 1912. It became well-known for producing military aircraft during World War I, including the famous Fokker Dr.I triplane, which was flown by the legendary pilot Manfred von Richthofen, also known as the Red Baron.
After the war, Fokker expanded into commercial aviation, creating passenger planes and cargo aircraft. The company faced financial difficulties in the 1990s and eventually ceased operations in 1996. Despite its closure, Fokker's legacy continues to influence modern aviation design and engineering.
