Fluidized Bed Reactors
A Fluidized Bed Reactor (FBR) is a type of chemical reactor that uses a fluidized bed of solid particles to enhance reactions. In this system, gas or liquid flows upward through a bed of solid catalyst particles, causing them to become suspended and behave like a fluid. This increases contact between the reactants and the catalyst, improving reaction efficiency.
FBRs are commonly used in various industrial processes, including petrochemical production and waste treatment. Their design allows for better heat and mass transfer, making them suitable for reactions that require precise temperature control and uniform mixing of materials.
