Florence II, Count of Holland
Florence II, Count of Holland was a nobleman who ruled during the late 12th century. He was born around 1165 and became the count after the death of his father, Florence I. His reign was marked by efforts to strengthen the power of the countship and manage conflicts with neighboring regions.
During his rule, Florence II faced challenges from local nobility and external threats. He is known for his involvement in the political dynamics of the Holy Roman Empire and his attempts to maintain stability in Holland. His reign ended with his death in 1190, after which his son, William I, succeeded him.
