Florence Green
Florence Green was a British woman born on February 19, 1901, in King's Lynn, Norfolk. She is known for being one of the last surviving veterans of World War I, having served in the Women's Royal Air Force (WRAF) as a waitress and later as a clerk.
Green joined the WRAF in 1918, shortly before the war ended. Her service contributed to the growing role of women in the military during the war. She passed away on February 4, 2012, at the age of 110, making her one of the oldest verified living people at the time.
