Floating Production Systems
Floating Production Systems are offshore facilities used to extract oil and gas from beneath the seabed. These systems float on the water's surface and are anchored to the ocean floor, allowing them to operate in deep waters where traditional platforms cannot reach. They are designed to process, store, and offload hydrocarbons directly from the production site.
There are several types of Floating Production Systems, including Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units and Tension Leg Platforms (TLPs). These systems enhance efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of offshore drilling by minimizing the need for extensive underwater pipelines and infrastructure.
