Flight Engineer Joe Acaba is a former NASA astronaut and a veteran of three spaceflights. He was born on May 17, 1967, in Los Angeles, California, and earned a degree in Geology from California State University, Los Angeles and a master's degree in Education from University of Houston. Acaba joined NASA in 2000 and has worked on various missions, including the International Space Station (ISS). He has logged over 200 days in space and has contributed to scientific research and technology development during his time aboard the ISS.
