Flight 93
Flight 93 was a domestic passenger flight that was hijacked on September 11, 2001, during a series of coordinated terrorist attacks in the United States. The flight, operated by United Airlines, was en route from Newark, New Jersey to San Francisco, California when it was taken over by four terrorists affiliated with al-Qaeda.
Passengers on board learned about the other attacks and attempted to regain control of the aircraft. Their courageous actions led to the plane crashing into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, preventing it from reaching its intended target, which is believed to have been either the U.S. Capitol or the White House.
