Flannan Isles Lighthouse
The Flannan Isles Lighthouse is located on Eilean Mòr, one of the Flannan Isles in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Built in 1899, it was designed to guide ships safely through the treacherous waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The lighthouse stands 23 meters tall and is known for its distinctive white tower and red lantern.
The lighthouse gained fame due to the mysterious disappearance of its keepers in December 1900. Despite extensive searches, no trace of them was ever found, leading to various theories and legends about their fate. Today, the Flannan Isles Lighthouse remains an important historical site and a popular subject of maritime folklore.
