Flag of South Sudan
The Flag of South Sudan features three horizontal stripes of black, red, and green, separated by white lines. The black stripe represents the people of South Sudan, the red symbolizes the blood shed for independence, and the green stands for the country's natural resources. A blue triangle on the left side contains a yellow star, which represents unity and the country's bright future.
Adopted on July 9, 2011, the flag was created after South Sudan gained independence from Sudan. It reflects the nation's identity and aspirations, embodying the struggles and hopes of its people.
