Flóki Vilgerðarson
Flóki Vilgerðarson was a Norse explorer and a key figure in the Viking Age. He is best known for being one of the first settlers of Iceland, arriving there in the 9th century. Flóki is often credited with giving Iceland its name after he encountered harsh weather conditions during his journey.
Flóki's adventures are documented in various sagas, which are historical narratives of the Norse people. He is also associated with the Viking tradition of exploration and settlement, which led to the discovery of new lands, including Greenland and parts of North America.
