Fischer Random Chess
Fischer Random Chess, also known as Chess960, is a variant of chess created by former world champion Bobby Fischer. In this game, the starting positions of the pieces on the back rank are randomized, leading to 960 possible configurations. This randomness aims to reduce the impact of opening theory and encourage creative play.
The rules of Fischer Random Chess are similar to standard chess, with the same objective of checkmating the opponent's king. Castling is also adapted to accommodate the random piece placement, ensuring that the king and rooks move correctly according to the new positions.
